Adam Hotel - Giesen

There were aunts in the room and a silverfish on the wall! The sheets didn't smell as if they'd been washed.

The meat I ordered was nearly raw, and I ended up vomiting all over my bed. My room neighbor screamed all night because there were rats. This hotel is terrible. If you want to sleep, STAY AT HOME.

The location is at least good, but the service is bad, the room dirty, and the breakfast buffet meager. Ten years ago, everything here was great. Now it's a complete flop.

The only good parts were the location and breakfast. Everything else was a disaster. I booked a double room with a double bed and breakfast through Booking.com, including free Wi-Fi. The review starts with Hotel Mama Mia, even though I booked Hotel Adam, so which one is correct? I arrived at 9:30 PM. Wi-Fi only worked in the breakfast room, not in room 6 or room 8. I was given a room with two single beds, and one had a broken slatted frame, so I suddenly ended up lying lower. See pictures. There were hairs from the previous guest on the nightstand, no trash cans, and no Wi-Fi information. The bathroom soap dispenser was empty, only one power outlet worked, and the minibar was just an empty mini-fridge. I was moved to another room that was supposedly a box spring bed, but it was just a regular double bed. There was no toilet paper. The remote had no batteries, the room key didn't fit the door, and nobody had mentioned that. I called the number and reached someone who spoke poor German. They said to go around the back, which was always open. That was all the information I got when I asked about the room. Someone was supposed to bring toilet paper and batteries for the remote. The new room had only one bedside lamp. At least there was a second outlet by the table, though it didn't meet regulations. The wannabe wardrobe was installed, but its light didn't work. The floor lamp had a cable and plug for some kind of power adapter, but there was no adapter and nowhere to plug it in. There was a fire safety sign, but no fire extinguishers in the hallway.
