Hotel Schloss Blumenthal

The menu choices were creative and impressive. Service was quite slow when we visited, although we were told it's usually flawless.

I didn't stay at the hotel, so I can't comment on that. The Biergarten and the courtyard are amazing places to sit and relax. There are a few funny llamas too, really cool creatures. From what I could see, it's great for kids as well.

We booked one night, and it's close to Munich. The ambience and food were great, and the whole experience was awesome and rich.

I spent one night here and was sad to leave. There's a hard-to-describe magic to the place. Forest surrounds a group of old manor houses, recently renovated while keeping their old spirit and elegance. I wouldn't call the whole place a castle. A small park with beautiful trees connects the reception, hotel, little chapel, rentable multipurpose building, cute beer garden, and several other houses. Every room has its own design. The mostly organic breakfast was delicious, and the staff were lovely and super helpful. It's a perfect weekend escape. The only bummer was that most rooms apparently don't have WiFi, at least mine didn't. I guess that's part of the experience. Amazing hotel!
