The hotel looks charming from outside and sits in a beautiful location, but the stay was an utter letdown. I arrived today while touring Europe for work, and the welcome wasn’t hospitable. My room, number 31, seemed unfinished and not fit to sell. The whole hotel appeared to be under renovation. At check-in there was dust everywhere, dirt and old towels on the bathroom floor, cigarettes and stains on the toilet, and several sets of used bedding on the bed. One man at reception said it would be clean in 15 minutes, which seemed impossible, while an older man smirked and shrugged. After about 45-50 minutes, I was told it was ready. A very nice staff member helped me take my luggage back, but the cleaners were still panic-cleaning when I got there. It was only a surface clean. The floor was still dusty, plaster that had been on it was in the toilet, the sink was stained, and the tissue I used to wipe it was discolored. There were stains on the pillow, so I had to cover it with a towel. There were no curtains either. The pictures show the level of cleanliness they consider acceptable. I would have changed hotels right away if I hadn’t been there with a large group for work. Some colleagues were also interrogated when they entered the restaurant, asked where they were from and only allowed to sit at certain tables. Horrendous behaviour. I’ll be glad to leave.

Booking a guesthouse room was a big mistake. Both of the rooms we had came with a really unpleasant bathroom, and they were in the same condition. It’s hard to find actual guesthouse room photos, since most of the pictures you see are of the hotel. The difference between the hotel rooms and guesthouse rooms is dramatic.

The pool is much better than I expected, and the rooms are good. Breakfast was reasonable too. Great spot.

Really nice hotel / pension, and the price was really nice too. The swimming pool was 34 °C. The restaurant might be the best.
