Hotel Aurelia

With the Black Forest scenery all around and little shops nearby for everyday basics, the setting is lovely. This is a modern, newly built hotel, and the rooms are large. Maja Restaurant serves good food and beer. The room blinds are electric, and there’s also a small gym and sauna. It covers most of what I’m looking for, and I’d recommend it.

Everything was neat and worked as it should, with a calm, quiet feel. The room was roomy, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and ready to help. A very pleasant place to stay, highly recommended.

I felt really welcomed here. The staff were courteous, helpful, and very friendly, and there was a real sense of pride in their work. When I ordered dessert to enjoy in my room, room service arrived with big smiles. The menu has plenty of choices, and the small soup I ordered was cooked wonderfully. There’s also a good range of wine and spirits. The deluxe suite had a full little kitchen, wooden flooring, and a fold-out sofa bed. The balcony was big enough for a party. The rooms have been newly renovated and styled creatively, and everything was completely clean. Breakfast in the morning had the usual German selection, with lots of it and good quality. Check-out was quick and easy. I’d happily recommend staying here.

There’s a small fitness room, plus a minispa that was surprisingly nice and has two saunas. Our room had lots of space and looked newly refurbished when we stayed in April 2022. The hotel is in a small rural town, so you’ll need a car or something similar to get around and find things to do. When we arrived in the afternoon the reception was closed, and we may have needed to call someone to open the entrance.
