We stayed because family live nearby, and the hotel also made a handy starting point for trips to Bonn and Cologne. The staff were friendly, the rooms clean and comfortable, and the location was good.

Breakfast was spot on each morning, and we also had a few dinners there that everyone enjoyed. The rooms were quiet, comfortable, and excellent. It was a great hidden gem for our stay. If I come back to the area, Hotel Zur Krone will be high on my list.

We were very happy with how easily the owner handled communication while we planned the stay. Google Maps had an instant message option, and we were able to book directly. English is spoken well here, and we'd love to return if we're in this part of Germany again. The staff were attentive while still giving us privacy, and one member of our group who caught a cold was kindly brought delicious chicken and vegetable soup in her room before the restaurant opened. This was the first stop on a family reunion trip that was also a bucket-list visit for my dad. He wanted his wife, four children, and their spouses to see the Germany he had loved while living here 60 years ago. We needed affordable lodging for five couples and were delighted with the arrangement. Each morning, breakfast was waiting for us at a reserved table so we could all eat together. There were boiled eggs, sausage, Liverwurst, fresh bread, spreads, fruit, yogurt, and juice. On weekends, they also served hot items like scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage. The hotel is family-run for five generations, and you can feel the care they put into looking after guests. It's a charming small hotel in a neighborhood that's quiet but still lively. A little way up the street, locals stop by the bakery for traditional German bread and pastries. The fresh pastries looked and smelled wonderful, and tasted every bit as good. There are different kinds of places to eat nearby, from pizza to pubs, but don't miss the restaurant downstairs. The owner is also the head chef, cooking traditional German dishes and daily specials. We loved the food and enjoyed a beer or wine there each day before heading up to our rooms. Our rooms were clean and roomy, with comfortable beds, pillows, and linens. There are also two nine-pin bowling lanes inside the hotel, each with its own private room for your group. The location gives easy access to major shopping centers, and the freeway is just minutes away for drives to Bonn, Köln, or Frankfurt. Thanks for making this holiday special for all of us.

The room was perfect and everything was clean. Breakfast was great, the staff were really friendly, and it was quiet all around. I'd love to come back.

The staff were really friendly, and both the restaurant and the nicely renovated rooms were excellent.
