Kloster Holzen Hotel

The staff are hospitable, though be aware that some rooms may not have air conditioning. I saw rare cars from time to time, along with special music acts and other events. We were there for a BBQ with fireworks, which was breathtaking. The setting is beautiful, and would be lovely for a wedding or seminar. Both breakfast and lunch buffets had everything you could want. I stopped taking photos because I didn’t want to spoil the surprise.

The grounds are beautiful, and the rooms are nice. We ate well too, and the staff were excellent. A lovely, peaceful place to stay. We’d happily come back if we’re in Germany again, and I’d definitely recommend it.

The children loved the garden with its domestic animals, and adults could easily spend hours there too. There are two great fountains in the beautiful gardens, and it’s worth taking a look inside the church. We stayed overnight as a family while biking from Aalen to Augsburg. Our room was large and clean, with an extra bed for the children, and breakfast was delicious. The staff were very friendly, and there was a garage for all four bikes. It was a fantastic stay. We’d definitely return, and have already recommended it to our families.

The family room worked really well for us and our two young boys, with a door separating the spaces. It was light and airy, and decorated with care. We came to Kloster Holzen for my friend’s wedding, and the setting was absolutely beautiful. The rooms were a very high standard, and the staff were friendly. We enjoyed the wedding food and the breakfast buffet the next morning. We’d definitely come back.
