We loved being surrounded by nature, with plenty of things for families to do. The large, very clean apartment worked perfectly for our family of four. It's a great spot for mountain biking and hiking, or just getting back to nature, and it's well placed for trips to Dresden, Prague, and Saxony Schweitz. Highly recommend.
We felt very comfortable in this spacious apartment. It's tastefully and practically furnished, has everything you need, and comes with a terrace. The welcoming landlady shared interesting tips about the area and served us a delicious breakfast with homemade aronia juice. It's a great base for hiking, cycling, or ski touring.
The setting is beautiful and peaceful in both summer and winter. Our apartment was clean, spacious, and really cozy, and the two of us were very happy there. We also loved the treats at the Aronia Café, run by Mrs. Rasehorn. Highly recommended!
We got a very warm welcome and would happily return. The apartments are spacious, spread over two floors, nicely furnished, and have a large terrace. The kitchen and bathroom are equipped with everything you could need. There's a play area outside, a barbecue, sun loungers, and even a little café next door with delicious cakes. The peaceful setting is lovely, with opportunities for hiking, skiing, and tobogganing.
A line we heard there seems just right: “You have to stray from the path to avoid getting lost along the way!” We had a wonderful stay, and I hope the owner finds the strength to keep up her work. I wish her good health, and plenty of guests to help others discover this gem. The café beside the accommodation is picturesque, and its cakes are sensational, surely award-worthy. The elderly lady who welcomed us was meticulous, courteous, knowledgeable, and kind, with a warm, maternal presence despite her health problems. Our group of former classmates has traveled together over Pentecost for more than 40 years, to catch up and see a bit of the German countryside. A fellow student from Saxony found this place in the German-Czech border region, where old-world charm goes hand in hand with modern amenities. The accommodation was quiet, rustic, practical, and without frills, but the internet actually lived up to its name, unlike at many hotels. Anyone happy with simple things will feel at home here. Our outings through the magnificent landscape, bright green and sunny this year, were relaxing and refreshing. At around 800 meters above sea level, coming back to the café was all the more delightful.
