We spent ten days in the lower apartment this fall with our young daughter and had a great time. The hosts made us feel very welcome, everything was clean, and we had all we needed. We especially liked the private terrace and grill, which would be a real plus in summer. A beautiful hiking route leads from the accommodation to Treseburg or even Thale, and you can take the bus back. The stop is only a few minutes away. There’s also a large playground right by the Bode, with plenty of picnic spots. Maybe we’ll return in summer to enjoy the terrace more.

We grilled fresh fish from the Bode on the terrace grill, and the apartment had everything we needed for a lovely holiday. Our son was happy to have a playground and public multi-purpose sports field nearby. The owners are friendly and easy to deal with, and the peaceful surroundings were lovely. We had a great time in Altenbrak and would definitely return. Haus Wilde is well worth recommending.

The lower apartment was a great base for exploring the Harz Mountains and worked well for four people. It was fully equipped, nicely furnished, and had a lovely terrace. We received a warm welcome from the very nice owners, and our dog settled in happily too. We were completely satisfied and grateful for a wonderful time in this beautiful area.

Haus Wilde is right on the Harz Witches' Trail, so it’s a handy base for hiking. We had the small room with a 1.40m-wide bed, which was perfectly fine since we spent all day outdoors. Breakfast was generous and well balanced, and we could pack whatever we didn’t eat for our hikes. The room was great, and the owners were friendly. We had a lovely short break in the Bode Valley and would gladly come back. Best wishes from Köthen 👍😊
