Parkhotel am Großen Teich

The Wi-Fi in the room barely worked, almost no connection at all. It was okay if you went out to an open area like the lobby. Apart from that, the rooms were clean and well furnished, and it's nicely located by a small lake running through town, within walking distance of the town square. A reasonable place with an Italian kitchen.

I checked in on 8.11.2021 in the evening, and the woman at reception was unfriendly and quite rude. I thought maybe she'd had a bad day. But when I came to pay around 18.00 on 10.11.2021, she was there again and treated me badly once more. She seemed quite racist, so I chose not to deal with her and paid the next morning instead. That went fine with another woman who was nice and friendly. It's a shame for the business. I won't go back and don't recommend it.

The hotel next to the restaurant is very good, with rooms that have a banion in the bathroom and a view of the small see of Altenburg. The Italian restaurant is nice, with superior food and a good wine selection. Better to reserve a table before visiting, just to be safe. The manager is Agelo Antoniolli.

Quiet, clean, and nice. Just as it should be.
