The mattress was just right for me, and the balcony looked out toward Hohenschwangau castle. The host was kind, and it was mostly quiet. The location worked well for getting to Füssen, the castles, and the mountains, though traffic from the main road could be heard at times. The price felt too high for what you get. The kitchen is really more of an old, barely working kitchenette, and the cutlery is worn and dull. I’d only stay again if it were a bit cheaper.

Self check-in and checkout made things easy, and the ground-floor studio was very clean with everything needed in the kitchen. Schwangau is lovely countryside, and I’d like to come back. Neuschwanstein Castle and Schwangau are about a 15-minute walk away, while Füssen is more like 25-30 minutes on foot. From Füssen train station, bus 78 gets you there, but service ends around 5. It’s a good idea to buy groceries before checking in. I’d have rented a bike if we’d brought proper outdoor clothes. I think the third-floor rooms may have a view of Neuschwanstein Castle.

The rooms were spacious and nicely equipped, and Ingrid gave us a warm welcome in the morning. The hospitality and location near Neuschwanstien were outstanding. You can walk to the ticket office and pickup points below Neuschwanstien, which saves the hassle of parking and dealing with the crowds.

There’s plenty of parking at the property, so we could leave the car and avoid the 6€ parking fee there. The room was clean, nicely decorated, and well equipped. Most rooms have a balcony with a pleasant view of either Hohenschwangau Castle or Neuschwanstein Castle. It’s close to Neuschwanstein Castle, and a nice hiking trail across the road leads up to Hohenschwangau Castle.
