It cost me 18 euros for a tent, which felt a little pricey, but I still liked the place. The surroundings are lovely and it was quiet at night. I also appreciated that a hot shower didn’t require extra coins. I find that practice really stupid at German campsites.

We’ve been returning to this fantastic campsite for almost 10 years, through plenty of changes in staff and managers. It was unfortunately neglected for years, but the new management has brought together a superb team that’s doing a great job. The staff are incredibly friendly and find quick solutions for all sorts of needs. The renovated sanitary facilities were spotless even over Pentecost weekend. There’s also a great mini-golf course with some unusual holes, and the new games café is a real highlight, especially when the weather’s poor. Even the teenagers put their phones away to play Werewolf together in the evenings. It’s a wonderful place to properly relax. Highly recommended.

The campsite is laid out really well, with a lake, fire pit, playground with swings, and a great beach volleyball court for older children. Everything’s easy to get to, and there’s something for everyone, so the family can stay together. The team are friendly and helpful, and the sanitary facilities are clean and modern. It’s a fantastic family campsite, with excellent access to a swimming pool complex with an outdoor pool, a zoo, and a play and sports park. We always love coming back to Wingst.

The campground staff were so friendly. We arrived a bit late, so they left the key for us and we could check in at our own pace the next morning. We were staying in a barrel for research for a travel guide, and it was a fun little adventure. It was cozy and well-equipped for a barrel, with mattresses, bedding, a terrace, a small table and chairs, and even a welcome bottle of wine. The bathhouse was very clean, with a toilet, shower, and WC about 200 meters away.
