The little details really stood out, and the staff were so kind and welcoming. I loved their hospitality. I'd recommend this place in a heartbeat.

The food at the hotel's own bistro was very tasty, and don't miss trying the bread at breakfast. We stayed for a week and enjoyed every minute. Our room was nice and warm, and it was cleaned daily. Everyone was very, very friendly and helpful, it felt like being at home. The hotel is right in the old town, just a few meters from shops and restaurants, and the walk through the old town to the university takes 15 minutes. If we're back in Amberg, we'll choose this hotel again.

The rooms are really small, and checkout was awful. I booked two nights for 186 euros, but they charged me for breakfast even though I never ate at the hotel, bringing the total to over 200 euros. They treat Americans like a joke and showed no empathy or respect. If you speak English, I'd recommend any other hotel. I wouldn't recommend this one for any reason, book somewhere else in town.

The room was spotless and the bed was so comfortable. Everyone, from reception and service to housekeeping, seemed keen to help. At reception we got all the details about breakfast times, wifi and the rest. Our waiter had a very dry sense of humour, which suited us :) Thanks to the whole Hotel Brunner team for making the stay so enjoyable.
