We came in for lunch and tried an amazing drink, I think it was iced coffee piled with whipped cream. So good! There was plenty of food to choose from, and the staff were super friendly :)

The room was clean, the owner friendly, and having a bakery included was a nice bonus. Breakfast was very good, and it was handy that we could keep our bikes indoors. Well worth visiting.

My girlfriend had to cancel at the last minute, so I came alone. Even though I hadn’t told the hotel manager about the change beforehand, he kindly charged me for a single room. I can’t imagine a bigger chain being so flexible. I slept really well both nights, and breakfast was delicious. There wasn’t an iron in my room, so I asked the cleaning lady about borrowing one. They didn’t have one available, but let me use the laundry room to iron my shirt. I had a lovely chat there with her and, I think, the owner’s wife, though I didn’t ask to be sure. Everyone was great and patient with my broken German. If you want to see a cute little German town, this is a great place to stay. The staff at Pension Purzelbaum were the nicest I’ve ever encountered at a hotel. 10/10!
