Anklamer Hof

There was no shampoo or soap in the room, and the staff were very rude. The hotel has no staff there after 10 pm, so if something goes wrong or there's an emergency, good luck. I don't recommend it.

The wellness area is lovely, and towels and bath clothing are provided for the pool. The gym is small, but everything worked. I did miss having a water fountain there, though. It feels like something a gym should have. Breakfast offered plenty of cheese, cereals, milks, juices, and more, but some things, like scrambled eggs, weren't ready when breakfast opened. The rooms and other areas were clean, and the room was small but had what I needed. I liked the free bottle of water, though it would help if the bottle said it was free. I left a card behind, and when I contacted the hotel they replied right away and said they'd send it back. That quick response and reassurance made me feel valued after my stay. The staff were very friendly, and the hotel is a beautiful little hidden gem. Maybe we'll see each other again sometime......;)

The hotel made up for how boring Anklam and the surrounding area felt. We loved the beautiful, clean pool, and the background music made it easy to relax. Breakfast was among the best I've had in Germany, with fresh food, a good variety, and very helpful staff. Still, I probably wouldn't stay again because of the location. Anklam is boring, and it's 45 minutes each way from the Ostsee.

The restaurant served tasty meals, and after a full day of cycling we were happy to use the pool and both saunas. Our room was spacious and tidy, the bed was super comfortable, and the staff were courteous, kind, and helpful. A pleasant surprise! 🌼 I took off a star for a few annoying details. There were about 10 meat options at breakfast but very few vegan or vegetarian ones. I also wish the hotel paid more attention to sustainability, like offering palm-oil-free nougat cream instead of Nutella and European orange juice instead of Brazilian. And why can't the smart TV use Netflix or screen sharing from an iPhone? Those seem like easy changes that would make younger guests happier.
