The staff were friendly and helpful, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. My balcony room was excellent and very clean, with superb views of the Berg Trifel. The restaurant was shut both nights I was there, but breakfast was excellent.

Set on the steep hillside of a small valley, these wonderful tiny houses have a cozy feel and great design. Some have views of the famous Trifels Castle. We really enjoyed staying there!
Those little wooden extensions fit so naturally into the landscape, and the view was incredible. I happened to be there during almond blossom season, with bees pollinating the flowers. Seeing them at full size made me happy, as it suggested pesticides or other chemicals weren’t being used. I came for the Trifels Spring School and AI meets society event, and it turned out amazing, even better than I expected. The Kurhaus staff were wonderful: helpful, understanding, and kind. The food was delicious and felt high quality, with great choices for vegans, pescatarians, and omnivores. Whether you're hiking, taking a retreat, or just passing through, it’s a magical spot. The event wouldn’t have been the same without it.
We reserved for seven at a table that seats eight, and you do need a booking since the place is quite small. The meal was a lovely way to finish our vacation. There was a good choice of wines for different meals and occasions, and the menu balanced meat dishes with vegan and vegetarian options sourced from local, eco-friendly, humane farms. The vegetarian cooking was especially creative and delicious, beyond what we expected. We had, in order, espresso ice cream, chocolate mousse, layered mascarpone dessert with mint pesto, lentil curry, Savoy cabbage roulade, Hällisches Landschwein pork loin steak, slices of Hällisches Landschwein fillet, and rump steak. Great food and atmosphere.
The food was gorgeous, and the staff were genuinely friendly and very helpful. It’s a beautiful building, too. The room had some frustrating problems, though: neither shower door behaved properly, one wouldn’t stay open and the other wouldn’t stay closed. Wet towels weren’t replaced, so showering twice in a day meant using a damp one. The windows were another issue: they wouldn’t open, and if you got them open, you couldn’t shut them again. Breakfast orange juice was served warm, at room temperature. And don’t count on a Friday night drink, the bar closes before 10.
