A great stop for one night on our trip between Düsseldorf, Warstein, and Detmold. The little hotel has lovely, clean, surprisingly spacious rooms, plus great service and a really good breakfast.

Friederike made sure I got a meal and a glass of good wine even though I arrived around 10 pm on a Saturday, after the restaurant had closed. I'd had several reasons for getting there so late, and the service really was first class. The hotel is modern and clean, and being only a few meters from the main road didn't bother me. Breakfast was great, with my porridge and enough variety for most guests. I'd highly recommend the place. I only wish I'd had more time to try the restaurant, which I've heard good things about.

We were welcomed warmly and had a nice place to sit. The ingredients were high quality, but the courses felt uninspired. I wanted a more adventurous meal, not straightforward comfort food. It was a pleasant evening, but I wouldn't return.

The food was amazing, and there are lovely walking trails in the hills nearby. It's a great hotel run by a friendly family, now in its 7th generation. It felt like a home away from my home in New Zealand. Thank you.
