The old staircase is beautiful, and the staff kindly helped with our luggage. My room was sweet, though a little old-fashioned. The single mini bed had an old, uncomfortable mattress.

There’s a quick connection to the train and the city, and the atmosphere is great. Staff are friendly, and laundry service is available. The rooms are clean, the shower is all right, and breakfast has an adequate selection. The bathroom is small, the TV channels are limited, and the Wi-Fi connection was bad at times.

The restaurant was a real treat, with delicious food, and the historic building is lovely. The room furniture feels like it’s from the 90s and wasn’t very comfortable. Still, it’s one of the two good hotels in town.

For budget travel, this hotel is okay for a three-star place. The breakfast is good, and it was clean, but some things looked too old, including carpet stains and peeling paint by the bed. The heating didn’t work as I’d hoped, and the bathroom wasn’t warm in the morning. It was summer, so perhaps it works better in winter. Parking can be a problem when the hotel is full. I’d recommend it for a budget stay, but not as the best spot for a romantic holiday.

A characterful hotel in an old style, and it was clean with a very good breakfast. There are only a limited number of hotel parking spaces.
