I've stayed at many good and outstanding hotels over decades of travelling, and this may be the most warm-hearted place I've ever seen. The couple running this lovely hotel are absolutely charming, and the whole crew were sweet and super helpful. Our room was exactly what we needed and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was sumptuous, with a lovely view. I'd like to return in summer, when we can dine outside.

For 65 euros, I got a very nice, generous breakfast. The room was spacious, with a door opening onto a small living room that I used for work, and a good-sized bathroom. The old timbers and skewed walls fit the surrounding village perfectly. It was very clean and quiet, and I slept like a child. I didn't try the menu because the restaurant was closed the day I was there. The hotel itself is a must-see, reason enough to spend a night.

The prices are fairly reasonable, though they do get into the upper range, and it won't bleed you dry. This is a discreetly luxurious traditional restaurant, mostly serving local cuisine. Try the chef's specials. If you're planning a fancy dinner with family or your significant other, look no further.
