The new owner went out of his way to make our stay great. We arrived late with our bikes, and he put them in the garage, then made us a wonderful dinner when it was nearly midnight. So kind of him. The rooms are old but very clean, and the bathroom was fine. It was a good price, too. Thanks so much for the hospitality. We’ll be back on our bikes. 👊🏾👊🏾

The location was excellent, but this was the worst place I stayed during my 10-day trip. It was also the only hotel that asked me to pay in advance. That makes sense given how smelly the room was and how barely warm the shower water got.

Bacharach was so stunningly beautiful that, once I arrived, I realized I needed more time there. I found out Hotel Gelber Hof rented bicycles and figured that was the best way to explore. The bikes were practically new and in fantastic condition, and the rental prices were very fair. It was a great way to get around and enjoy the path along the Rhine river.

A quaint hotel for the price, with nice rooms, comfortable beds, and a great breakfast. It’s centrally located in a beautiful town, and good value for money.

This is a very authentic hotel with a sense of history. The room was comfortable, and breakfast was delicious, with fresh fruit and a variety of cheeses. Thanks to the staff!
