Hotel Bacharacher Hof

The hotel is right in the middle of town, which made it easy to spend time exploring. We were there for one night during our road trip from Munich to Cologne. Such a quaint, beautiful place, with spacious, clean rooms and very friendly staff.

The family room worked really well for us: it's two rooms connected by a locked foyer, so we left our doors open and it felt like a little apartment. The bathrooms were generous in size, and the rooms had been updated to look old, with built-in shelves and lights mounted on the walls to make good use of the space. There are no chargers or AC, but the staff lent me adapters, and the fans were enough. We never felt hot and slept great. I was so glad to find a pool and sauna here. The hotel sits across the street from the boat pier for Rhine cruises, and Munzë tavern is just around the corner, about a two-minute walk, and stays open past 10pm. The staff were friendly and worked hard on a wonderful breakfast in a bright, sunlit room with beautiful hardwood. Our rooms were just as lovely. Bacharach is a quiet traditional village with cobblestones and garden blooms, surrounded by Rhine Valley vineyards and tucked at the foot of a castle. It felt like a great place to get away from the summer crowds and heat. We had an excellent stay.

We weren't guests at the hotel, but visitors could buy breakfast for 18 €, and it was absolutely worth it. The service was warm and friendly, and the food was fresh and delicious.

We had a family reunion in Bacharach, and most of our group stayed at this hotel. They handled our large party well and were accommodating. The family room was a real plus, spacious and split into two separate rooms, almost like an apartment. The bathrooms were very spacious and clean, though not modern. Breakfast had everything we wanted, and we had a very pleasant stay.
