Naturhaus Luminus

We spent nine nights at Naturhaus Luminus over New Years 24/25 with four adults, and it was a great place to settle in. Michael and Hildegard were generous, gracious hosts, always just a text or doorbell ring away, since they live upstairs. The apartment is south-facing, with huge windows that bring in loads of light. Underfloor heating kept it comfortable, though the sunshine often meant we didn't need it. There was plenty of room indoors and out, including a big verandah with outdoor dining and seating overlooking a peaceful garden. The bedrooms had comfortable beds and pillows, plus plenty of storage. The bathroom was roomy, with heated towel racks, good water pressure, and extra towels. We cooked a lot, and the kitchen was fully equipped. They'd also left basics like oil, salt, pepper, herbs, tea and coffee, along with hot chocolate and Glühwein, a nice Christmas touch. We got around without a car. The Thermal Baths were a 3-minute walk, the train station about 10 minutes, and supermarkets, gym, and town centre around 20 minutes away. The Bad Aibling Christmas markets were some of the nicest we'd seen in Germany.

I spent two weeks here in February and loved how peaceful it was, with all that space and nature around. The hosts were really lovely too. I just wish I could have stayed longer. I'd absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Bad Aibling.

The village center is only about a 15-minute walk, and there are playgrounds less than five minutes away. The apartment is lovely, with a beautiful garden and a fantastic location. We'd be very happy to come back.

We've already stayed at Naturhaus Luminus for more than four weeks this year, in May and again in October/November, and it felt like home. The apartment is roomy, well equipped, and made for relaxing. The living room and bedroom are quiet, with lovely views of the garden and Mangfall River. There's a large terrace with a dining table, lounge sofa, and armchairs, plus cozy corners indoors. They've thought of so many practical things, from laundry detergent and dish soap to hand cream, body lotion, spices, vinegar, oil, tea, and coffee. We could easily make a nice meal there. We really can't find anything to criticize, and other reviews have plenty of praise already. Hildegard and Michael are lovely hosts, always happy to chat and full of useful tips for making the stay go well. We'll definitely return.
