Bayersoier Hof

The owner surprised us with a short walk around the town after dinner, sharing stories and showing us a part we wouldn't have seen otherwise. In this tiny town, we also had excellent food, including chicken breast with potato salad and vegetables, followed by a delicious potato pancake dessert. The staff were efficient, and I absolutely recommend this wonderful place.

That presentation about the area's history and flag was a lovely surprise, and the owner's humor added to the fun. We left with full bellies, lots of laughs, and a great memory to share. Dinner with our tour group was wonderful: the authentic potato salad reminded me of my grandfather's family recipe, and the potato pancakes were a kind of comfort food I hadn't known I needed. So different, and so good.

After having dinner at ten different restaurants on a group tour through Europe, this was easily the best one. The welcome was warm, the atmosphere was inviting, and the staff were very friendly. 10 out of 5.

I came for the Oberammergau Passion Play, and getting between Bad Bayersoien and Oberammergau can be tricky. The family helped me sort out taxis and buses, gave me free bus tickets, and one morning their chef even drove me in their own car to a bus station in the next village. Through all the adventures and unexpected moments of my stay, they looked after me so well and made me feel completely welcome. I loved chatting with them and the warm, rustic Bavarian feel of the guest house. It's an older place, which I found charming, though it isn't meant to be fancy. My room was clean and nicely made up, and they turned it down while I was out without me even asking. Breakfast was great, too. I hope to return, see kind Konrad and his family again, and explore more of the village. Absolutely recommend.
