We felt right at home during our Rothaarsteig hike stop at the Forellenhof. The room was spotless and seemed freshly renovated, and the bathroom had the Portuguese tiles we love. Breakfast was served with so much care and warmth. There’s also a little self-service bar in the house, a thoughtful touch that made us feel trusted. The beer garden, with picnic tables and deck chairs among the surrounding nature, would be lovely in good weather, but it was cold and wet while we were there. The whole concept worked perfectly for us. Thanks for having us!
