On a freezing New Year's Eve, we were glad to find somewhere open, and the dining room was busy. We each ordered something different, as we tend to do in a new place. My son and husband liked their meals, and I loved the schnitzel BBQ. It's a fun combination I wouldn't have thought of, and I haven't seen it elsewhere. I'll order it again. The prices felt a little high, though the restaurant is somewhat more upscale than the usual places off the beaten path. We enjoyed the salad bar, and I liked the local beer. The choice of starch was dreamy, although they oddly didn't have bradkartoffeln (fried potatoes), which might just have been a one-off. Our waitress was lovely. She beamed when I praised the food, and even with lots of tables to look after, she kept smiling warmly and got our food out quickly. I'd recommend the restaurant for its veal options and playful takes on typical German food.

The food was perfect, and the staff were friendly. It's a cosy, very clean hotel with plenty of room in the bedroom. The fittings feel a bit old-fashioned, but everything did what it needed to. There are lots of hiking routes nearby. I can imagine some guests would miss having a lift.

A great spot for a solo stay if you enjoy walking and wellness. The hosts were friendly, and my single room was spacious, cosy, and clean, with a hot shower and everything I needed. The location is handy, close to the village centre with its own parking space. Pretty hiking routes begin right outside the hotel, and the restaurant serves delicious schnitzel.
