It's clean and tidy, and there's plenty of straightforward food, so it could work if you're after somewhere basic. Still, despite claiming four stars, it felt more like a two-star hotel. Some rooms on its 11 floors have lovely views, and there's a nice local park next door that leads into the town center.

The city is beautiful, like a piece of heaven, but I can't say the same for the hotel. The beds were uncomfortable, maintenance was awful, and there was no room service to speak of. The lamp outside my room stayed broken for the whole visit, and room service only folded the blanket. There's no air conditioning, so avoid staying here in summer.

The rooms were clean, but there were signs of years of neglect, and other guests had carved symbols into the doors. It's an old hotel that clearly hasn't been renovated recently. The elevator shook the whole way, and the rooms get very hot in summer. It doesn't deserve even one star.

The breakfast was excellent, but the hotel needs refurbishment, and I usually don't complain about beds, yet I have to this time. The staff seemed unsure about how to handle the Covid measures. I suppose it's the same in many places. I hope Covid will soon be history for everyone.

I came across this nice hotel while heading north from Hamburg. The rooms were decent, breakfast hearty, and the staff wonderfully friendly. It felt like a breath of fresh air, and I'd definitely return if I'm in the area again.
