The breakfast was simple but perfectly adequate, served in a lovely conservatory looking out over a beautifully kept garden. There’s also a reasonably priced minibar. Restaurants and shops are within 500 meters, with lots of walking and cycling routes nearby. It’s a quiet street, about 10 minutes from the train station and 15 minutes from the center of Bad Breisig. The car ferry is a 15-20 minute walk; in early November 2016, the smaller ferry for pedestrians and bikes wasn’t running because the ferryman had died and no replacement had been found. My room had a large, comfortable bed, an ensuite bathroom with a good shower, though the hose had a small snag, and a flat-screen TV. Check-in and checkout times were generous. The WLAN cut out occasionally. My confirmation said I’d have a garden view, but my room faced the street instead. When I was the only guest, I wasn’t offered an egg, but one appeared once other guests arrived. Discrimination against solo travelers should be firmly denounced!
