Absmeier

We were especially glad to find a large, lockable bike garage with lots of charging points for e-bikes, and the bread roll delivery was running from our very first morning. The Sigl family, Ms. Absmeier and all the staff made our February 2026 stay a lovely one. We spent a week in the 28 m² one-room apartment, which was just as spacious as we expected and very clean. The small kitchen had what we needed, including a coffee maker, kettle and toaster. The refrigerator was large and in excellent condition, there was a range hood, and the new two-burner ceramic cooktop worked well. The bedroom/living room had plenty of seating and storage, a very comfortable double bed, and better-than-average lighting and outlets. The glass picture and sliding door looked nice, and the new windows had roller shutters. The fairly large balcony had furniture and an awning. The bathroom was perfect too. Getting to the house was easy, with plenty of parking. We were warmly welcomed at check-in, and our guest cards were ready. The whole house is well-maintained and clean, and you can tell the owners regularly repair, renovate or update things.

The owner and staff were friendly and helpful. Our two-room apartment was 52 sq m and cost €72, but the old carpet would definitely be a problem for anyone with allergies, and the furniture wasn’t new. We stayed from December 29th to January 10th, 2026. During that same time, my brother-in-law had a two-room apartment about 200 meters away for €54. His had been fully renovated, with wooden floors and Swiss pine ceilings that smelled very pleasant.

Room 34 on the second floor was clean, well-kept and furnished with quality furniture. The balcony at the back gets morning sun, and you can lower the blinds if you want to sleep in. There’s a walk-in shower and a large vanity in the bathroom. The small kitchen by the entrance has everything needed for self-catering, including a coffee maker, toaster, kettle, fridge, two-burner stove, pan, dishes and cutlery. Dishcloths, sponges and tea towels are supplied too. The house is in a quiet residential area, about a 10-minute walk from the town centre. There’s ample parking behind it, plus a large double garage for bicycles that opens with the house or room key. Guests can use the small fitness room free of charge, as there’s also a physiotherapy practice in the building. I felt very comfortable here. Mrs. Absmeier is a lovely host, always friendly and helpful. If I’m in Bad Füssing again, this will be my first choice.

The bread roll service was a real treat, with fresh rolls hung on our door each morning 😁😁😁. Reception was friendly and efficient. The building has some older apartments as well as newly renovated ones brought up to modern standards. We stayed in one of the updated apartments and felt very comfortable. It’s a very nice place in a great spot in Bad Füssing, just a few minutes’ walk from the town centre and thermal baths. We’ll definitely come back!
