The family room had two bedrooms, an ensuite, and a little kitchenette, and it was very comfortable. We only stayed one night but would happily return for longer. The pool and sauna were much appreciated, and breakfast was fabulous. There are lots of restaurants nearby and a lovely park. The only drawback was that the room got very hot at night, but I’d put up with it again.

The hosts made us feel looked after from the time we booked. Since we were arriving very late, they called to check about breakfast and gave detailed directions for getting into our room. The hotel is a short drive from the highway, with clean rooms, comfortable beds, a good breakfast, and stunning views from the balcony.

Dorit was very helpful with suggestions for things to do and knows the best hikes around. We liked having a small cooking area in the room so we could make our own meals. The clean, well-equipped hotel also has a sauna and pool, which were relaxing after sports. Breakfast had everything, even fried eggs. Great value for the personal service, and we’ll definitely come back.

A lovely little hotel at the start of Schwartzwald, and fairly priced. The breakfast is without doubt the best within a 100 km radius.
