The hotel's biggest problem used to be the food, but that changed a lot by our return a year later. The veal with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts looked as good as it tasted, and even the simple pasta was done well. Before that, meals had been a real letdown: spartan breakfast with no fresh juice or omelette station, a chaotic coffee queue, and dinners that tasted rushed and mass-produced. The broth was bland, the condiments didn't go together, the meat was overcooked and under-salted, and the mush served with the tafelspitz was especially inedible. The children's buffet felt like an insult. The ingredients seemed high quality, but the cooking needed work. The ice cream was consistently the best part of dinner. That said, the service was superb, and the hotel's strengths outweigh that earlier weakness. We appreciated the family-friendly features, including a pool, table tennis, table football, and two kids' rooms. The gym was dated and needed an upgrade, while the sauna was decent and its relaxation room looked out into nature, which was soothing in the rain. The reception even gives children a box of toys as a farewell gift, a nice touch. The location is fantastic, with the cable car station only a few minutes away by car. The included Bad Hindelang card covers the cable car up the mountain and access to the climbing adventure park. Between that, the hikes around and up the mountain, and the adventure park, those activities alone make the hotel price worthwhile. It's great value overall, and my children and I will be back.

We've been here three times now and have loved it each time. The staff are kind and professional, and make us feel welcome and well cared for. The pool is wonderful and the wellness spa is excellent. Dinner buffet is top-notch, with every main dish delicious, and breakfast is generous and high quality, especially the local cheeses and honey. We enjoy every visit.

The rooms vary in quality as part of the hotel's concept, but most apartments are nice and spacious enough for families with younger children. The wellness and swimming area are pleasant, and the fitness room has lots of machines. It's a lovely place for families and for anyone who likes trekking or biking in the mountains. The staff are friendly and the food is great.
