The place is wonderfully quiet, with no through traffic, and the Hotel Zum Senn is just a few meters away for a generous breakfast. This is a lovely little hotel complex with stunning mountain views. It was renovated in 2019, and the rooms and bathrooms are finished to a very high standard.

We booked two double rooms and one single for two nights, but the value for money didn’t feel right to us. The rooms were very clean, which was a plus. There were several problems, though: in one room the bed stopped the balcony door from opening fully, and the balcony had only one chair while the lounge chair was broken. The bathroom was tiny, with the shower door only opening halfway because it hit the sink. The bedside lamp didn’t work, and there was no smoke detector.

It was very bad. The roof was over 30 degrees during the day, so you had to stay outside. When I complained at reception, they said, “We are not a star hotel.” The single room cost 58 Euro/night.

A few years ago we were treated so warmly and exceptionally well, and the prices were excellent too. But there’s been a change of ownership, and now we were told that only overnight stays are possible. That ended our dream. Such a shame!
