The owners really tried to make our stay pleasant, and breakfast was fine. Our room and bathroom were okay too, even though they were still decorating when we arrived. There were quite a few small construction mistakes, like holes in the wrong places, and those French balconies without any flooring felt odd and a bit unsafe. We wouldn't choose nearby Restaurant Seeblick, but Landgasthof Knoll in Zickhusen, a few kilometres west, was very nice.

The staff were warm and helpful, and the spot right by the lake is lovely. The beds felt a little hard and small.

We were especially impressed by the outstanding breakfast, served on a terrace with a panoramic view across Lake Schwerin. The hotel sits right on the lake, with a swimming area next door. Our room was roomy and modern, and the bathroom had plenty of space too. The staff were exceptionally friendly. I highly recommend Seehotel Bad Kleinen.
