It’s an old winery with a very nice outdoor area. The rooms have interesting furniture, and breakfast in the vaulted cellar was good, though I didn’t care for the scrambled eggs because they were too soft.

The hotel is cozy and quiet, set in a historic location. The room was spacious and cozy, and it was warm and comfortable in winter. It had a safe and hairdryer, but no refrigerator or kettle. You have to drive to the shops, and the shuttle only runs once an hour.

I arrived hoping to find somewhere to stay overnight, but the hotel looked deserted, although there was someone in the garden who might have been a handyman. My German isn’t very good, but as best I could understand him, he said we’d need to find a hotel farther down the road. This one was closed.

The Mediterranean decor was my favorite part, with so much care put into everything. It was a peaceful, lovely hotel, and the woman looking after us was attentive and especially kind to the kids. She even arranged breakfast for 7 a.m. when the regular start was 8. We'd happily come back.
