Storchen Restaurant Hotel

The food is delicious and feels like a special occasion, though the prices reflect that. My concern is with how the order was handled. I chose a three-course menu and asked to swap the dessert for one of the earlier courses. They said there might be a small price increase. When the bill came, I’d been charged for a four-course menu, but I hadn’t received dessert. I hadn’t understood that the price increase would mean paying for the full four-course menu, and nobody explained it while we were being served. I was disappointed by the lack of communication. Also, the waiter touched the rims of the soup drinking cups and coffee mugs with his fingers. At a place like this, I’d expect more hygienic service.

The food at Storchen is on the level of top restaurants internationally, and the service was lovely. You can feel that it’s a family-owned business. A wonderful meal.

For fine dining, this is a very good restaurant. The "grosse Storch" gastronomic menu is worth trying, and you can pair each plate with a carefully selected glass of wine.

I really miss this restaurant. The food and drinks were delicious.
