Santé Royale Hotel & Gesundheitsresort Bad Langensalza

The breakfast was the weak point. There was no fresh fruit beyond apples and pears, the pastries seemed to come straight from supermarket packages, and there were no local things like Mettwurst, Knackwurst, or Mühlhäuser Pflaumenmus. When we asked for a pot of coffee from the cart across the breakfast room, the restaurant staff seemed annoyed. The same happened when we asked about utensils missing from the table. The Sante Royale Hotel is close to the old part of Bad Langensalza, and the rooms are spacious and clean, with direct access to the backyard. Front desk staff were welcoming and helpful. The location and hotel are very nice, but you could skip paying for breakfast and go to a local cafe instead.

I spent three days at the hotel, and the facilities were all OK. The bathroom was a little dark, and I missed having a fridge and a coffee machine or kettle in the room. Still, I'd recommend it. Paired with the Friederiken Thermal Pool, it's a great place.

The spa is so easy to get to, which is great. The rooms are roomy and nicely decorated, with a warm, cosy feel. All in all, it was OK.

The Therme Spa was excellent, though it doesn't belong to the hotel. In the five days I stayed, the room and bathroom were very good, but there was no fridge or coffee machine. Service was very bad, and the food wasn't good either. The buffet was miserable, so I went into town for a decent meal. I can't see how this place got four stars. It isn't better than a two-star hotel, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
