Haus am Hang

The living room and bedrooms were plenty big enough for a holiday stay, and the apartment has a good kettle, a toaster, and even a nice chess set. The little kitchen, which also serves as the hallway, is very poorly equipped for four, though we got used to managing with it. The bathroom is tight for four as well, but workable. It's a rustic place with lots of wood in a wonderfully quiet residential area. Some of the terraces and balconies have lovely views, and there are great trips to take nearby. We were practically on our own in the house.

I’m here every month now because I feel so comfortable at the “Haus am Hang.” The house is clean, the Wi-Fi works, and it’s peaceful, with comfortable beds and a lovely view. The neighborhood is always nice for a walk. I come regularly, so the place has really become familiar to me. It’s also a great base for a few days between the north and south.

The large terrace has a fantastic view, and the location is great. Inside, it’s a cozy, very rustic log cabin. Sadly, it hasn’t been kept up very well: it was dusty, the garden was overgrown, and the bathroom was poorly supplied, with no soap and only a nearly empty toilet roll.

The location makes it easy to take trips into the Harz Mountains. It’s a lovely house with plenty of places to sleep. The kitchen is on the small side, but has everything you need.
