Hotel Sonnenschein

Coffee and juice were available in the lounge whenever we wanted, which helped make up for some of the things we missed. The beds were clean, and we slept well enough to set off home feeling refreshed. We’d booked just one night, and the welcome was friendly. The room looked clean and tidy when we arrived, and I paid for it then. But breakfast had been included in our booking and wasn’t offered on departure day. I was disappointed that the hotel didn’t email or call guests ahead of time. We couldn’t find a bakery either, so we began the drive home without breakfast. After a journey of a little over six hours, we wanted to freshen up and found black or dark stains on a guest towel. There was no curtain on the balcony door, so we couldn’t darken the room. I also missed having a bath mat, and the bathroom mirror still had toothpaste on it. Maybe we notice these things more because we work in the same industry.

The staff were warm and attentive, and the clean, comfortable rooms made it easy to feel at home. I felt completely at ease here, thanks to the friendly, welcoming atmosphere. I’d love to return.

The room was good, and the TV and lights all worked. The young woman who welcomed us was very friendly, and the hotel offers good value for money. The bathroom felt a little cramped, and the toilet brush should be replaced. We didn’t have breakfast, so I can’t comment on it, though it looked good.

We only stayed for one night, but the friendly, accommodating owners and their family made a great impression. The room was very clean, and breakfast was fantastic. Everything felt just right. All the best!
