Landhaus Bavaria

I was driving across Germany to get home and chose this place as a halfway stop, partly because the reviews and food sounded good. They were right about the food. My schnitzel was possibly one of the best I’ve ever had, and you could tell it was made with care. I also had the Münchener Schnitzel, which was gorgeous. Breakfast was continental, with a pleasant amount of everything. It’s nice to find people who care about serving decent food. The room was small but clean and comfortable, with a good hot shower. The road outside wasn’t too busy, and it was quiet at night. There’s a nice park across the road, plus a beer garden out front and parking. I have a large car, and getting into the space was easy. There are only three spaces, though, so check ahead like I did, and be ready for the turn into the rear car park. A pleasant stop with good food and beer. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

The beer garden is lovely, and once we sat down the service was fine. The waitress brought us the menu and a nice fresh beer. The menu is written in dialect and has a sense of humor, with most dishes available in a regular size or a larger portion for someone who's very hungry. We were happy with our meals, and the regular plates were enough for us. Landhaus Bavaria sits on the main road into and out of Bad Nauheim, but from the road it doesn't look much like a Bavarian restaurant. You might only notice it because of the Bavarian flag behind the high bushes. At first, the reserved signs on every table threw us off, even though it was Tuesday at lunch and only one table was occupied. We figured the signs might be for the evening, so we ignored them and picked a table we liked.

The schnitzel was delicious, and the food was great. Each day there's also a special dish at a low price.

The restaurant food was fantastic, and the staff were really nice and friendly. But they were very lazy about cleaning the rooms. The upstairs rooms also get too hot in summer.
