For 133 euros a night, I expected a much better organized arrival. We got there at 6:30pm on Saturday and found the door locked and reception closed. The only person outside was an older lady with a cigarette and an aggressive little dog that kept trying to climb our legs and bite us. A sign said to call one of two numbers. It took six calls over 13 minutes to reach someone. She was friendly, but didn’t seem especially apologetic, and said an SMS with instructions had been sent. It had, though it was addressed to the wrong name. We hadn’t been told beforehand about check-in times or how to get in. There’s definitely room to improve, so I can’t recommend it as things stand.

When our moving company let us down, we suddenly needed somewhere for us and our two kids. ApartW3 worked out perfectly for a one-night stay. The apartment was roomy and had what we needed, including free coffee, which was a lifesaver. It’s simple and practical, without any frills, and we felt comfortable there. The staff were really friendly, and we left with a good impression.

Everything is close enough to walk to, from the Kurpark and town centre to Bali Therme, Kurkliniken, the main hospital and Heart Centre. The hotel itself is in the south of Bad Oeynhausen, near Detmolder Straße. Our room and bathroom were both large, clean and modern, with a TV, WiFi and a little cooking corner with a kettle for tea or coffee. The only thing I didn’t notice was a lift, so anyone with a stroller or wheelchair should ask about an easy-to-reach suitable room when booking. We’d stay again.

Breakfast was good quality. The facilities were good too, though the rooms are plain and all white. That look isn’t for me, it made me think of a hospital room.
