Arthotel Brunnen

Fine for a short stay.

The key-box check-in went smoothly, and there was plenty of parking, even for larger vans. It’s a clean hotel in the city center, and it worked perfectly well for us tradespeople.

Bad Pyrmont is a beautiful little town. We loved it, and it felt like stepping into another country or another time. Our room was modern and the place was centrally located, but the bed looked more comfortable than it turned out to be. The bathroom felt dated, and although there was a bathtub, filling it took ages. Even after an hour it still wasn’t full. When I was finally ready to get in, the water was only lukewarm, far too cold for me. So, if you’re into cold baths or want a morning adrenaline rush, you might enjoy it. The hosts seemed a bit disorganized and fussy to me, and in our case they didn’t try to find a solution. A hot shower or bath in the morning matters a lot to me, so I wouldn’t book here again. Still, it could be an adventure for someone who likes that sort of thing.

The couple running the hotel were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and breakfast at the café next door was delicious. The hotel is right in the heart of Bad Pyrmont, with interesting room design and great rooms and beds. The bathroom was small and a little dated, but spotless. Parking costs €10 a day. If you’re staying on a weekend, there’s free parking in the public garage a few minutes’ walk away.
