AVALON Hotel Bad Reichenhall

We barely got to explore the hotel’s surroundings or the city, since we were using it as a base to visit my sister in another city. Having the train station within 10 steps was still amazing. In the room, the big windows let in lovely light and gave us a great view, but they also let in a lot of cold. I managed to block some of it by shutting the shades. The staff were attentive and very nice, and the hotel was clean, attractive, and cozy. Breakfast was great too, especially the big cheese selection and fresh juice. The breakfast room on the fifth floor has mountains in either direction when you turn your head. My partner and I had a wonderful time. I liked everything else and would stay again if we’re in the area.

The breakfast room has incredible views, and the whole team made us feel welcome. The rooms were super clean, and the location was fantastic, right across from the train station and within walking distance of lots of good shops and restaurants. We’d definitely stay again.

Sandra in the evenings, Brigidette during the day, and the rest of the staff did a wonderful job handling all our requests. Brigidette even arranged a little surprise in our room for a special occasion. The rooms were spacious, neat, and clean, and the sauna, spa, and fitness center were all in great shape. Breakfast felt like dining in an expensive restaurant, with amazing mountain and town views and careful attention to detail. They even gave us excellent locally made Mozart chocolates at checkout. The location is ideal for catching buses to nearby areas. It’s been a while since I’ve had such an excellent hotel stay. It reminded me of when customer service really mattered. If you’re considering it, just book.

The staff were friendly, and the hotel was very clean and nicely located among plenty of shops, restaurants, and services. The internet is the one problem. It’s there, but works like it’s still the 2000s, and unfortunately I couldn’t work.
