Neu-Golm Landhaus

It was fine.

We were able to get the whole ski group together in the large common room, where the kitchen and bar made it easy to cook, sit around, and celebrate. It made for a really warm, sociable reunion, with guests coming from all over the Ore Mountains. The grounds worked just as well for spending time together outdoors. There’s plenty of green space for barbecues and relaxing, and parking was ample, so everyone could arrive easily. The rooms were spacious and clean, with a decent basic standard that suited a group trip. We held our reunion at Landhaus Neu Golm in September and would happily come back.

It’s right in the middle of the village, with a big courtyard, and the hostel is well kept. You’ll need a car to get there, though. The clean, rustic room was fine for one night, but I personally wouldn’t stay longer than two or three nights.

For an overnight stay without breakfast, I think €80 is too much. The shared kitchen for room 3 had no refrigerator, though the Wi-Fi in the room was okay. The hostel feels quite dated, and while the room was relatively clean, the shower cubicle was cramped with some mold underneath. The mattresses were very soft and worn out, and should be replaced.
