Villa Fallingstar

My wife and I would never stay here again. It was filthy, there was mold on the terrace, and the shower was so poorly built that all the water ran into the room. A villa of horrors!

The pool was great, the apartment was cleaned early and ready for check-in, and the landlords were helpful without being intrusive. We had plenty of peace and quiet, and they brought extra towels without any trouble when we asked. We enjoyed our four-night stay and wish them all the best. The landlords are very friendly if you talk to them reasonably and give them a chance to explain. A property like this takes a lot of work, and outside circumstances can make it difficult. The negative reviews seem very drastic to us and only partly reflect the truth. Yes, the street was annoying and water leaked from the shower, but is anything more important than that? We were very satisfied with everything.

Bad Saarow is beautiful, which makes it a shame that this was probably the worst resort experience we’ve ever had. The apartment had mold, a serious health hazard, and the owner treated us very badly and was xenophobic. He literally told us to get lost. They make countless false claims. They advertise a lake view that doesn’t exist. Guests can’t use the garden because the owners live on the ground floor and don’t want guests using the garden or pool. Dogs are allowed, but you’re advised to walk them far from the property. For this price, I’d advise staying in a hotel instead, where you can have peace and quiet without annoying owners constantly monitoring your every move. I’d advise everyone against staying here.

For €200 a night, I’d choose a 5-star hotel. This was probably the dirtiest place we’ve stayed, with dust and cobwebs everywhere. The hosts were incredibly unfriendly too. Ideally, zero stars.
