The guesthouse is quiet but easy to reach from Bad Sachsa, with shops, ATMs, and restaurants nearby. Parking is available in front. Staff greeted us warmly, and our dog even had treats waiting in the room. Our room was clean and very simple. We’d booked a balcony and were a bit disappointed by the poor view, with a pile of dirt in front of it. The place is generally dated, and some renovation could make it nicer. Breakfast was okay: a small selection of cold cuts, cheese, jam, cornflakes, and eggs, plus quark and yogurt. I would’ve liked more fruit, since there were only grapes and apples, and a few whole-grain rolls because I can’t tolerate wheat. If you want a few quiet days off, you’ll find that here :)

A nice, affordable place if you’re not after luxury. It’s a little dated but honest, and breakfast is perfectly adequate. Parking is partly public, though there may also be a garage. Recommended.

Two years ago, my wife, our dog, and I spent five days here and liked it enough that I came back recently with some motorcycle friends. There were 17 of us, and we got a warm welcome and delicious food. It definitely won’t be my last visit.

We were here over New Year’s Eve with our dogs and felt right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we had lots of great conversations. The room was perfectly fine, despite some really strange comments in other reviews. If you check into a hotel in Bad Sachsa, I don’t think you’ll spend all your time sitting in the room anyway. Breakfast was excellent, and parking was available. If you like a friendly, cozy atmosphere, this is the place for you!

Exploring the Harz Mountains by motorcycle? This is a great place to stay, and the staff are so friendly. I’d happily book here again if I’m back in the area.
