Waldschlösschen

There's plenty to unwind with here, including a pool, sauna, gym, and pool table, and it's a good place for families. Wi-Fi doesn't reach every room, but we didn't mind while on vacation. We had a fantastic stay, with a lovely atmosphere, a super breakfast, and incredibly friendly people. We'd definitely return.

I've visited twice in summer and can highly recommend the place. The Harz Mountains are nearly fully booked right now, so this seems like a good-value option, especially for anyone who decides to ski spontaneously. There's a generous breakfast, a pool, a solarium, and more. The accommodation is lovely and the staff are very friendly. Keep it going, and please keep the place open for me. We rented a roomy holiday apartment in the building across from the main house, and the price was genuinely reasonable. For an extra charge, breakfast could be served in the room or taken as a buffet. Anyone exploring Bad Sachsa could consider a stay at the Waldschlösschen. The renovated historic building has a grand feel, with plenty to do in the main house: a sauna, swimming pool, children's playroom, pool table, fitness room, and library.

Contaminated pool water gave me a severe stomach bug one summer, complete with fever. It wrecked my vacation, and the pool was later closed. Several other holidaymakers had the same experience. Unfortunately, the staff don't seem qualified to maintain a pool. That was my last visit.
