The rooms were clean, and breakfast was okay, but I strongly advise against eating anything else at this hotel. The food was abysmal. Reheating ready-made sauces from packets or jars is one thing; failing to cook meat properly is another. If you like 70s charm along with musty smells and stale air, you may feel at home. Everyone else would be better off choosing one of the many other nice hotels in Bad Salzuflen.

The room I was given was clean and modern, and there was plenty for breakfast. Even on the public holiday, breakfast was available at 6 a.m. The restaurant has a special dinner for tradespeople at €10, which is perfectly acceptable. The regular menu feels too expensive to me for pre-made schnitzel cooked in a deep fryer, though, and the dining area could do with some modernization.
