The location made getting around easy, with the town center and cinema a 3-minute walk away. The spa gardens and brine graduation tower are also reachable within 10 minutes on foot. Villa Otto in Bad Salzuflen feels central and convenient. Inside, everything was exceptionally clean and well cared for. The rooms are stylish and modern, with tasteful furnishings. I especially liked the new bathroom and the wide single box-spring bed, which made for a really restful night. The staff were polite, warm, and accommodating from the moment I arrived. A thoroughly enjoyable stay, and I'd love to return.

The room and breakfast deserve 5 stars, but the check-in mess really soured things. The email's door opener only works for the entrance door, Haus Otto, and Eichenhof, not the door to the room we booked. The phone number in the message gave us a code that didn't work either. What you need to do is go to Lippischer Hof hotel, part of Hotel Otto/Eichenhof, where someone is at reception. They give you the code to get the key card from the "key boy" at Hotel Otto. At Eichenhof, the card is left in the open mailbox. Unless you know this already or happen to find another guest who can explain it, you're stuck. Hotel Otto/Eichenhof, please make the confirmation email explain the check-in steps, or make the supplied door opener work on the room door.

The room was very comfortable, and even with the central location it stayed quiet. It's a beautiful old villa, modernized and kept in very good condition. When I put my brother up, the breakfast room wasn't quite finished yet, but it looks like it has turned out beautifully.

They've turned a lovely old villa into a hotel, and the breakfast room is lovely too. It works perfectly well for a stay of 1-2 days.
