The hostess was the worst part of our stay. She kept cleaning and making noise, and the atmosphere felt unpleasant. She also entered our room while we were out, without asking. I have no idea what she was doing, but it was recorded. The room itself had some useful appliances, including a microwave, toaster, working dishwasher, stove and oven, and was basically decent. But I disliked the religious decor, with crosses everywhere. I don't think that belongs in a hotel. The location wasn't convenient either. It's up high, so walking back and forth each time was a hassle. If you come across this hotel, run. We'd be better off staying somewhere else.

It's all do this, don't do that. Feels like you're working for her.

The apartment was roomy and very clean, in a quiet spot, though you can walk to everything. It was well set up for families, with a cot and highchair. We were greeted warmly and they were very accommodating.

Breakfast was excellent, and my room and bathroom were kept very clean and in great condition. The Ruther family were friendly and helpful, so I felt at ease from the start. I stayed at Haus Ruther in Bad Saulgau for a few days and will definitely come back.

We called at short notice while out cycling to ask if there was a place available. The landlords wouldn't be back until late, but let us check in early that afternoon using the coded key box. That trust in people they didn't know was really special, and I want to thank them for it. The new house and lovely holiday apartment with its terrace were a pleasant surprise. It's in a very quiet residential area, and the landlords were friendly and fun to talk with. Breakfast the next morning was very good too. A great choice in Bad Saulgau if you're after an apartment or a room.
