We stayed for four nights. The food was incredible, though the portions were so massive that the meals could feel heavy. There was a nice mix of German and Czech dishes, and the staff were super friendly and helpful.

We ended up spending quite a bit of time in the room during bad weather because it was so comfortable. It was warm, pleasant, clean and easy to air out, with a comfortable bed and strong shower pressure. The room was bigger than we expected, with space to work at the table, have tea and talk, or just relax on the couch. A great place to stay in Baden Schandau.

The little hike up from the stairs a few meters from the house is really good. We were very happy with our room, which felt comfortable and homely, with a very clean bathroom that looked recently renovated. Breakfast was great too, and they managed to fit so many different things on a fairly small table. It felt like a family business at its best. We'd definitely go again!

We had two really good meals here, and the best food and drink we tried in Bad Schandau came from the Czech Republic. The food was solid, the service was great, and there was a nice choice of Czech beer. I’d recommend it. Honestly, I’d give it 4.5 stars, maybe a bit more.
