I booked half-board over the phone for €78 per night and received written confirmation. But my bill was €247 for three nights, and it only included bed and breakfast. The nightly price was €60. It's a shame that you can't rely on this anymore. The bathroom also looked like it had been missed during cleaning: there was hair in the bathtub and sink, plus urine stains on the toilet seat.

The restaurant is right next to the Kurhaus, though it now has Asian competition nearby at much lower prices. The service was quick and friendly, and the food was delicious, if a bit expensive. Inside, it's still rather dark and has that 1950s style. If you want good German food and aren't bothered by dated decor, you can be satisfied here.

The location was great, and I slept well in a comfortable bed. The Wi-Fi was excellent too. But the rooms and the rest of the hotel feel very dated, and the carpeting in my room was questionable. There was a strange musty smell throughout the hotel. Parking was limited over the weekend.

We decided to leave instead of staying the night. The double room clearly hadn't been cleaned: the bathroom was damp, hairs were all over the floor, there were mold stains in the shower, and the toilet was full of urine. And it cost 100 euros a night.
