Hotel Gaya

The main thing that bothered me was how small everything in the room felt, from the beds to the sinks, almost as if it were made for children. The room decor was poor, and the food was very expensive. The hotel itself is nice and the staff are polite.

I’ve only been to the restaurant, and only for lunch. A Korean friend told me the food is authentic and tasty, though a little pricey. It has a nice atmosphere and is a pleasant place.

The room was clean but quite small, and the bed was small too. It’s only a five-minute walk from the train station, and the staff provided good service. When I arrived at night, though, the room wasn’t ready and I had to wait.

I couldn’t get into my room at all. I’d booked one and written that I’d arrive between 11 p.m. and midnight. I got to the hotel at midnight, but nobody was at reception. I called the owner, who said he wasn’t at the hotel and couldn’t come, and that check-in ended at 10 p.m. He apologized, but why hadn’t anyone replied to tell me a late arrival wouldn’t work? I could have booked somewhere else. I ended up finding another hotel and paying 130 euros for a room, three times what I’d planned to spend. And being out on the street in the middle of the night as a young woman, with my luggage and drunk men around the station, was a really unpleasant experience.
